Job Description:
Work with team of developers, attorneys, designers, marketing and application owners to develop firm solution for client intranet and extranet sites from concept to implementation. Serve as the liaison and key point of contact between client teams and IT to enable delivery of content from a variety of systems and applications to intranet and extranet client sites. Responsible for day to day operations of the firm's client-related websites, both the client portal on the intranet as well as extranet sites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Establishes and maintains processes, for creating client portal for delivering content to our attorneys and their clients. Be an expert in the firm's content management, document management and publishing systems. Provide support and training to client team members and others who are responsible for providing site content.
* Meet with client teams to define requirements and assist in the set up of new extranet and intranet client sites. Develop content management and website maintenance procedures for client-related sites. Work with client teams to organize content for delivery to a website.
* Defines project deliverables, timeline and resource requirements for client-related website projects. Work closely with IT, Knowledge Management, Marketing and Practice Support during entire project lifecycle to ensure successful completion of the work.
* Oversee implementation of matter-centric WorkSpaces and the delivery of workspace content to the client intranet/extranet sites.
* Provide ongoing guidance to client teams in best practices for updating and maintaining content on their sites by coordinating reviews from client teams for implementation and enhancement of sites.
* Perform publishing and site administrative tasks; including ensuring proper level of rights for content contributors and users, handling password administration for client extranet sites, establish service level agreements and support guidelines and documentation.
Requirements:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree in communications, information systems, library science, computer science or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years website management experience in Law firm or Professional Services firm creating and maintaining client portals and/or client extranet environment.
* Solid background in web authoring tools; Minimum 2 years experience with content management tools and processes. Experience creating SharePoint sites, libraries and lists.
* Strong communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
* Creative and organizational vision, strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Experience defining requirements for delivering content to websites dynamically from backend systems and commercial newsfeeds.
* Solid experience managing web projects, defining process and procedures and working on cross-functional teams.
* Experience with SharePoint, Handshake, FileSite or other Document Management System preferred.
* Must be a self-starter who understands the details within a much larger context.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES:
* Troubleshoot, test and provide overall quality assurance for sites.
* Must be articulate and able to present complex concepts, discuss, explain, negotiate and resolve issues with attorneys and staff members of all levels.
* Ability to conceptualize and develop websites using standardized templates.
* Strong project management, business analysis and communication skills. Must be able to analyze and define business needs, organize, plan and carry out complex projects, coordinate with many different groups and communicate with all levels of the organization.
* Experience working with IT to deliver content dynamically to websites from backend systems such as Document Management Systems, Client Relationship Management Systems, Finance Systems, Human Resource Systems, etc.
